James Russell, BA, DipYE

James first became interested in Yoga whilst travelling in India in 2000. He found that yoga enabled him to connect with a new experience of physical release and mental calm. He began to practise regularly and yoga became a great source of refuge, inspiration and strength. He returned to India regularly and studied yoga with a number of remarkable yogis.

Whilst studying in India, James completed diplomas in ‘Yoga Education’ and ‘Advanced Yoga Studies.’ In the UK, he completed a foundation diploma with the British Wheel of Yoga and a two year teacher training diploma with the Devon School of yoga. He recently completed postgraduate training in Yoga Therapy and has studied Vinyasa Krama Yoga intensively with Srivastsa Ramaswami.
