Private yoga tuition

If you would like to learn yoga but are unable to attend open classes then it may be worth considering one-to-one tuition. This is a very effective way to learn yoga and is suitable for practitioners of all levels of experience and ability.

Yoga was traditionally taught in a one-to-one exchange between teacher and student. This is the most focused way to learn and the teacher is able to focus on the needs of each individual student and develop a practice that is most appropriate for them at that time in their life. This approach to Yoga is known a ‘Vini’ Yoga, meaning Yoga for the individual.
James and Alice are each able to teach a limited number of private students each year. They have a small, custom built yoga studio in their garden called 'the old piggery' (pictured right.) Set in an idyllic rural location near Haldon forest, this is a peaceful environment in which to learn yoga. The studio is fully equiped and is perfect for one-to-one classes.

Prices for private classes at the Old Piggery:
One hour session: £35
One and half hour session: £50
The cost of the first session includes an additional, free 15 minute consultation.

Alternatively, it may be possible to arrange a private class in your home. The same rates would apply plus any additional fuel costs incurred.
  • I have found these sessions very valuable and enjoyable, and they have significantly helped me to develop in my yoga practice.
